When we looked at stucco colors, we couldn't find any that were quite dark enough for our liking. That's when we found out that you can tint the color up to 200% darker to try and get it closer to the look you're going for
So that's excctly what we did! We went with a dark brown for the main color and had it tinted at 200%, and a lighter ash brown for the trim at 100%. 
It may seem a little odd that I prefer masculine colors over feminine ones, but its' true! The darker and richer, the better in my book! This made the decision process so easy for both of us, since we didn't have to argue over peaches and pinks or colors that were too girly for Carson!
It was really neat to watch how they apply the stucco. I was amazed at how such a thin layer can sustain the color without cracking or peeling... let's just hope it will stay that way!
The color can look pretty dark right when it's applied, which made me a little nervous, but the contractor explained that it lightens as it dries.
So there you have it, a brown cow house! Wherever you see black still is where the rock will go.
The trim color didn't turn out quite as light as we were hoping, even with it being a completely different shade, but that's ok! It's enough to give contrast, and the finished result with the rock turned out well. Next house we would do it even a little lighter.
We are going to have all the outside doors painted a dark brown along with the garage.
Although we stick out like a sore thumb in our neighborhood since no other house is even close to this color, we both LOVE IT! It's exactly the richness and depth we were hoping for!
