The framing process started in the middle of August and finished three weeks later. The next several posts will show the progress of this stage of the home.

The lumber has arrived! Woohoo!

The framing crew also came from Utah and we really enjoyed them. They were hard workers putting in many 12 hour days and had few mistakes to fix. We would definitely use them again!

Here they have framed the support wall in the basement for the upper floor. You are looking into the future theater room on the right side.

The future theater room with floor above it!

Another shot of it. True most people would prefer not to have any windows in a theater room, but since we don't know if that's really what it will be, we added a window to be safe... just in case we need an extra bedroom for the 10 kids we plan on having. (Just kidding not 10, but we both would like a good size family.)
Carson measuring and checking dimensions again to make sure everything is correct. He is standing on the left side of the basement.

This shows where the stairs will be coming down to the basement. They will be in that cut-out part of the floor.

This picture is looking up into the garage and main family room area.

I am so impressed with all you have accomplished! It looks like a terrific experience. We are doing well here... it has been busy but I think it is best that way sometimes.
